Eugene Kaler, Violin
Eugene Kaler was born in Moscow, Russia, into a family of musicians. After his family immigrated to the United States in 91, he began to study violin at the age of 7, first at the Peabody Conservatory (Baltimore), then the Levine School of Music in Washington. In his youth, he participated in several competitions and festivals such as the Concerto Competition at J. Madison University (1st place), String Solo Festival (1st place), and the Young Soloist's Audition in '99 and '2000 (Finalist and Honorable Mention) to name a few. While continuing his education at the Baltimore School for the Arts, he was chosen to perform with the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra for a limited engagement, as well as performing at many different venues in the Baltimore-Washington area with great success.
Eugene moved to Chicago, and graduated with honors, receiving his BM in Violin Performance from DePaul University in 2009. In addition to performing in and around Chicago, Baltimore, New York and Washington, Eugene has enjoyed performing in Spain, Italy, and France, with great success. Eugene Kaler currently teaches at the Long Island Conservatory in New York.
