Madeline Capistran, Violin
Violinist Madeline Capistran, originally from Fargo, ND, holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Michigan State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Violin Performance at DePaul University, studying with Ilya Kaler. Madeline has had much chamber music and orchestral experience at various summer festivals including Musicorda, Meadowmount, Colorado College Summer Music Festival, Hot Springs Summer Music Festival, and Dakota Chamber Music. Awards and honors include a solo performance on National Public Radios show From the Top, 1st place in the Fargo-Moorhead Symphonys Young Artists Competition, 2nd place in the MTNA Regional Solo Competition, and receiving the Spencer and Eleanore Maurer Memorial Violin Scholarship .
Madeline has taught violin privately for the past 8 years and is currently teaching and free-lancing in the Chicago area.
