Daniel Stone, Viola
Daniel Stone began his musical studies with the violin at the age of eight and later switched to the viola at the age of sixteen. While serving as the principal violist in his high school orchestra, he was chosen as a winner of the school concerto competition. His solo performance with the orchestra was then broadcast on WFMTs radio show, Introductions. Now a sophomore at the DePaul University School of Music, Daniel is a student of Rami Solomonow and serves as the assistant principal violist of the Chicago Civic Orchestra. His previous teachers include Desiree Ruhstrat of the Lincoln trio and Eugene Pazin of the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
